The Adirondack Crabapple, Malus 'Adirondack, has an upright growth habit and dark green, highly disease tolerant foliage. This tree will give form and substance to the summer garden. Its crimson buds open to white flowers with tints of red; it is one of the most profusely flowered of all crabapple cultivars. It is highly rated for both aesthetics and disease resistance by the International Ornamental Crabtree Society. The slender, upright form lends itself well to home gardens where space is at a premium. Abundant, persistent, orange-red fruit adds fall and winter interest. Requires virtually no pruning nor chemical controls for the common crabapple diseases. Adirondack grows best in full sun and is adaptable to varying soils conditions, and it is drought tolerant. This crabapple is unique in form, elegant in flower, colorful in fruit.

Akane, Malus 'Akane', is an apple tree that produces fruit that is attractive, medium sized, bright red, and has firm, white, juicy flesh that is sweet and somewhat spicy. 'Akane' has good scab and mildew resistance and has a harvest time is August. Careful early training, annual pruning and shaping are required to insure healthy and productive trees.The Akane apple is a cross between a Jonathan and Worcester Pearmin. Because of this heritage, the Akane is an excellent dessert apple, with a sweet spicy flavor and distinct aroma, but does not store well. Ideal for coastal climates. Akane is very reliable, even in poor fruit years you can count on this tree to have fruit on it!Suggested pollinators for the Akane apple are the Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith and the Golden Delicious.

The Apple - Ashmead's Kernel, Malus domestica 'Ashmead's Kernel', has an appearances that can be deceiving. Ashmeads Kernel is lumpy, misshapen, and rather small, but has remained popular for well over 2 centuries, and with good reason: it has a distinctive flavor that you will rave about because it is quite different from most other varieties. This dessert apple is outstandingly rich and tart, flattish in shape, about the size of a Gala or Jonathan, and half-russetted over gold. The apple sweetens as it stores and stores successfully for up to twelve months. The fruit is generally picked in October for use between December and February. It makes a good apple juice or applesauce because of its sweet sharp flavor. It is a late season pollinator which means it is not self-fertile but it can pollinate other apple trees.

The Paw Paw tree, Asimina triloba, is a multi-stemmed shrub or small tree with short trunk and rounded top that presents a semi-tropical appearance. PawPaw trees average about 15' in height at maturity. It prospers in moist soils and when placed at the edge of a wooded area as an understory tree. It is recognized by its ‘sleepy’ summer foliage and nodding bright purple flowers in the spring. The unusual 3-lobed flowers are followed by a black, edible berry, with a taste similar to banana-pear with a custard consistency. This deciduous trees is growing in popularity largely because of the edible fruit it produces. These highly nutritous oval fruits get 2 to 5 inches long, and turn yellow-orange when ripe. The fruit is an excellent source of vitamins A and C. Two trees are necessary for pollination reasons. Fall color is a brilliant yellow.
