Anemone - Blanda - Mixed Colors
Anemone blanda 'Mixed'
The Anemone 'Mixed', 'Anemone blanda', a fall planted tuber, produces a spectacular mixture of dainty daisy-like flowers in deep blue, light blue, white, pink and cerise flowers, with yellow centers. If they are planted close together they will make an excellent ground cover. This Anemone is very hardy and they multiply every year. Anemones grow well in southern climates. When left in the ground to perennialize, they form magnificent flower carpets.<p/>The "Mixed" Anemone will flower for 4 to 6 weeks in early to mid-spring. Anemones are great for naturalizing, mass plantings, containers, rock gardens, ground covers and borders. These plants are deer, rabbit and squirrel resistant. Note: Soak the tuber in tepid water for about 12 hours before planting to promote early sprouting.
