D Anjou
D Anjou Pear

The D'Anjo Pear is a large pear. The flesh is white with abundant juice and a sweet brisk flavor. It is a naturally sweet pear, light green in color with a yellow tinge when ripe. Anjou pears have exceptional keeping qualities. The best flavor is realized when stored 1-2 months. The tree is very hardy, large and highly productive. The D'Anjou does not change color as it ripens. Requires cross pollination with Bartlett or any other pear with the same bloom date.

Damson
Damson Plum

The Damson plum has a small, oval fruit, and is good for canning. The dark purple skin covers the golden yellow flesh. It has a spicy, tart flavour. Damsons are used for cooking, jam & wine making. A hardy, tree, largely untroubled by pests and diseases. Damsons succeed where most plums would fail. They are semi-shade tolerant and they grow to 12-14 ft. They make good windbreaks and hedges, though they are not likely to fruit well if they are very exposed. Damsons are mostly self-fertile and cross-pollinate with plums.

Tangerine - Dancy

The Dancy Tangerine has a loose skin that is easily peeled. It is a tasty red-orange fruit that ripens in winter. This tangerine works well in containers on the porch or patio. It can be moved indoors for those in extreme winter areas. Dancy Tangerine may only reach about 6 feet tall, or it can be clipped to a desired shape. It is an evergreen tree with fragrant flowers. Its fruit is rich and flavorful with a slight tartness to it. The Dancy is also called the Christmas Tangerine because its ripening season is during the months of December and January. Its growth habit is quite vigorous, and it prefers full sun, fertile, but well drained soil, and moderate water. Dancy is an extremely prolific bearer. Whether your tree is producing scented blossoms, growing colorful fruit, or displaying a harvest about to be enjoyed, it is an indispensable contributor year round.

The Dapple Dandy Pluot®, 'Prunus pluot' fruit tree is a taste test winner. It ranks with Flavor King and Flavor Supreme Pluot® as a best-tasting fruit. The creamy white and red-fleshed pluot has a wonderful plum-apricot flavor. The fruit skin is greenish-yellow with red spots, turning to a maroon and yellow dapple as it matures . Fig - Desert King, Ficus carica 'Desert King', is a good choice for cooler climates. It is a large, deep green fig with strawberry red flesh. The King Fig Tree is a heavy producer of excellent quality, sweet figs. The tree sets a large early crop from June to August, then sets a secondary crop. Because it ripens in mid-summer, Desert King is a great variety for gardeners in coastal, high elevation, and other cool regions. It makes a good container tree in colder climates as well. Figs are wonderful for fresh eating and make delicious jam and dried fruit. The fig fruit is unique. Unlike most fruit in which the edible structure is matured ovary tissue, the fig's edible structure is actually stem tissue. The fig fruit is an inverted flower with both the male and female flower parts enclosed in stem tissue.

The American Persimmon tree, Diospyrus virginiana, is a native fruit tree with attractive edible fruit. Its dark-green leaves conceal small fragrant white flowers that are replaced by pale-orange fruits, which ripen after frost. While persimmon grows on many kinds of soils, it attains its greatest size on sandy, clay soil in bottoms. It is one of the first invaders of old fields with the seeds brought in by wild birds and animals. The leaf is rather leathery and dark green. Its average length is about 4 inches. Persimmon trees are well known for its delicious orange fruit and bark which resembles alligator hide. This deciduous tree provides fruit for birds and the buds and leaves are a source of food for deer, opossum, gray and fox squirrel, quail, raccoon, wild turkey, red and gray fox and coyote. It is very important as a wildlife food. Persimmon wood is hard and dense. It is used for golf club heads, handles for files and carving tools, billiard cues, shuttles and mallets. Plant a persimmon at the woodland's edge or in an open field. The bright green leaves change to a bright golden yellow in the fall making this tree highly prized as an ornamental tree.Our Persimmon trees are unsexed. Approximately 90% of our Persimmons are females, so purchasing 10 or more should insure fruiting. In a good environment and with good care, fruiting will begin in year six and continues for fifty years or more.
