Jacobs Ladder - San Juan Skies
Jacobs Ladder San Juan Skies
San Juan Skies Jacobs Ladder, Polemonium 'San Juan Skies', displays lovely blue flowers that are produced from June to September. The foliage is fernlike and makes a nice compliment to the blue flowers. This is a very hardy selection that is great for the woodland or part-shade garden. Makes a wonderful plant in masse or as a short border perennial. Jacobs ladder thrives in part shade situations. Give it too much sun and it will melt away! Given the choice, San Juan Skies Jacob's Ladder grows best in a moderately fertile soil. The higher the organic matter the better, and it must be well-drained. Standing water or clay soils will shorten its life quickly. Try planting with Hosta Francee or Polemonium Bressingham Purple, in mass plantings, in rock gardens or in an elegant landscape. San Juan Skies Jacobs Ladder is attractive to bees and butterflies and easy to maintain.
