Garden Delight Nectarine
Large, freestone, sweet, refreshing, juicy, with yellow flesh. The Garden Delight Nectarine has a yellow skin, blushed with red, and the pulp has a sweet, orange-like flavor. This is a genetic dwarf tree that grows anywhere from 4-6 feet tall, so it can be easily covered to protect it from frost. It has dense foliage, and in the spring it displays dark pink, double blossoms that profusely cover the branches. Garden Delight is self-fertile, heavy bearing, and ripens in mid August in central California. It requires 500-600 hours of chilling. This fruit was developed by Floyd Zaiger.

It is best to thin fruit early in season to maximize size and quality.Apricot trees, once established, are somewhat drought-tolerant. The trees are gorgeous in spring with white or pink blossoms, and ornamental in summer with their furrowed bark and heart-shaped, glossy leaves, red when new and dark green when mature. Goldbar
Goldbar Apricot
The Goldbar apricot produces very large, light yellow-orange fruit with reddish blush. The fruit is round to oval with slightly compressed sides and is very large. The skin is light-orange and slightly glossy. A reddish blush covers up to 30% of the side that is exposed to the sun. The flesh is light orange, very firm, meaty and moderately juicy. Some acidity is associated with the skin. Quality for the fresh market is good. The pit is large and freestone. Goldbar is not suitable for canning. It is a vigorous tree that flowers heavily but sets light crop, which increases fruit size.

The Peach, Golden Jubilee, Prunus persica, is the best early peach and produces a flesh that is tender, fine grained, juicy, and has excellent quality. The fruit is medium to large and oblong in shape. It is an attractive yellow skin peach for home use and canning. This freestone is known for its ability to survive cold winters.Golden Jubilee needs clear, hot weather during its growing season and requires well-drained soil as well as a regular fertilizing program. It also requires heavier pruning than any other fruit trees to maintain size and encourage new growth.

Firm, sweet, amber flesh, with a small pit. Golden Nectar produces large yellow dessert plums with thin, waxy, amber skin. These plums are excellent both fresh and dried and a very popular dessert. Harvest is in August in Central California.The Golden Nectar plum is a good keeper. The tree is self-fertile, can grow in many soils, and can get 15-20 feet with a somewhat wider spread. The fruit ripens in late July. Golden Nectar requires 500 hours of chilling.

Goldenrod Dwarf Little Lemon, Solidago hybrid 'Little Lemon' is a truly dwarf solidago for the front of the perennial border! At only 12" tall in bloom, 'Little Lemon' is a stark contrast to its taller cousins. In late summer, the well branched foliage is completely covered dense clusters of bright lemon yellow flowers that rise above the foliage. Solidago 'Little Lemon' is easy to grow in any sunny location. Can be cut back after flowering for a second flush of flowers in the fall! Adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

The Goldstrike apricot has large and firm fruit. The fruit is round to slightly oval and is very large when well-thinned. The skin is a light-orange color and slightly glossy. A reddish blush covers up to 20% of the side that is exposed to the sun. The flesh is light orange, firm, meaty and moderately juicy. Some acidity is associated with the skin. The pit is medium-large and free from the flesh. Goldstrike is not suitable for canning. Goldstrike trees bloom heavily but fruit set is often moderate to light under natural pollination. This apricot has excellent eating quality. It will cross-pollinate with the Goldbar.

The Goodland Apple, Malus 'Goodland', has very good cold hardiness and adapts well to most soil types. It is one of the best apples for the colder regions and is also resistant to fireblight. This apple is washed red over creamy green, and the flesh of Goodland is crisp, juicy and aromatic. Goodland stores very well and is excellent for eating. Its fruit ripens in early to mid-September. The fruit of the Goodland apple trees that are established in protected, bright sunny locations usually ripen in the latter part of August. Plant about a month after the first killing frost in the fall or about a month before the last killing frost in the spring. Select a planting site that has good air, drainage, full sunlight and deep, well drained soil.

This can be somewhat controlled by heavy pruning.The Red Gravenstein is a hardy variety and can withstand difficult conditions. It requires pollination from another variety: Empire, Fuji, Gala, or Red Delicious.
