This Buck rose is full and luxuriant, opening to fragrant blooms brimming with a rich yellow. As the flowers age, the color softens to buttery yellow against plentiful foliage that is thick, leathery, and glossy medium green. This rose is crown hardy to zone 4 with a mulch applied to ensure hardiness. Own root. Prairie Harvest repeats with continuous blooms, and it is an upright bushy grower that is disease resistant. Cut back to healthy wood in the spring. Remove spent flowerheads-cut back to a healthy bud on the stem. Shape as desired.

The Prairie Rose, Rosa setigera, is characterized by its long, arching branches which grow 5 to 8 feet long and bend over to the ground. The pink flowers in July precede the small, red persistent rose hips. The flowers have a mild fragrance and no repeat bloom. Shiny, dark green foliage turns variable but attractive shades of deep red, purple in late autumn. Prairie Rose is great for naturalizing, split rail fences, or embankments. The distinguishing features of Prairie Rose are the number of leaflets and the irregular thorns on the stem. It is best grown in average, medium to wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best flowering and disease resistance generally occur in full sun, however. Water deeply and regularly . Avoid overhead watering.

Prairie Sunrise Rose, Rosa 'Prairie Sunrise', is a Buck rose with clustered buds of deep apricot-red against glossy foliage. As they open, sunrise is blended in the quartered blooms. With a fabulous fragrance, its petals range from salmon to deep apricot over a yellow base, with a yellow reverse that warms to pink at the tips. The Rose Purezza produces generous amounts of large white flowers. Purezza are mainly noted for their ability to rebloom. These thornless climbers can grow to 15 to 20 feet in size. Another unique feature is their buds which look like pearls. They can be trained to climb, trained on a pillar, or trained as a rambler. Purezza also displays good disease resistance to blackspot, mildew, and rust. This rose blooms on old wood so prune after flowering.
